Selection Process : The Uttarakhand Combined State / Subordinate Services Examination consists of the these three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Main Examination (Written Type)
- Interview / Personality Test
1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

Important Note:
- Both question papers will be objective type with multiple-choice answers.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- The marks obtained in the preliminary examination will be used only to shortlist candidates for the main examination.
- For the evaluation of Paper II, it is mandatory to score a minimum of 33% marks.

Total Marks for the Written Main Examination: 1500
3. Interview / Personality Test
Marks: 150
Total Combined Marks (Written Examination + Interview): 1650
Application Fee : Rs 16.36/- for PH (Divyang), Rs 76.36/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs 166.36/- for other candidates. Fees should be paid online using debit card, credit card, net banking.
