Set up and operate CNC turning machines to perform turning, facing, threading, and grooving operations on metal workpieces.
Load raw materials into the machine, select appropriate cutting tools, and adjust machine settings (e.g., cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut) to ensure proper operation and quality of finished parts.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances for parts.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC turning machines, such as tool changes, lubrication, and inspection of machine components, to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions, tooling issues, and quality problems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
Maintain accurate production records, including job setup sheets, tooling logs, and quality inspection reports.
